We are pleased to announce the birth of Chrysalis Winter Gold. Savona was born on February 4, 2006. Her sire, Starborough Smoke Chant, was bred to our Ch Starborough Pavlovna via frozen semen. It has been almost 8 years since our last litter. We are very excited, & could not be more pleased with this precious little girl.

Flame, our Irish marked red puppy began living with us in May 2007. He immediately fit into our home & Savona has been his playmate from day one. All our borzoi have taken a liking to him, except Diamond, who just plain ignores him. Given the fact that she will be 10 years old in May of 2008, she is entitled to ignore this very playful, exuberant puppy..... At least "she" thinks so.

In August of this year, The Midwest Borzoi Club had a supported entry in Milwaukee, WI in conjunction with the Cudahy Kennel Club show. This was Flame's first show at just 6 months & one week of age. I was proud of the fact that he seemed very sure of himself for such a young dog & he gaited beautifully in the ring. He showed both in sweepstakes & the regular classes. On Sunday, The Borzoi Club of America had a supported entry in conjunction with the Racine Kennel Club Show. Flame was more confident showing for the second day, & he was awarded Best of Opposite in Sweepstakes.

In September, at the Manitowoc Kennel Club Show Flame took Best of Breed from the 6-9 puppy class for his first point. The following weekend at the Sheboygan Kennel Club Show, he again took Best of Breed for another point & also a Group 2 in the Hound Group puppy competition.

In October, at the Stone City Kennel Club show, Flame took a 4 point major at just 8 months of age. Currently he has 6 points & one major. Bill & I would like to thank Kalen & Karen Dumke for this absolutely beautiful dog. His beauty is not only in his color, head & structure, but his personality as well.
