CH Starborough Gorse At Redbanner ~
Grandfather |
 |
 |
|
Ch Sea of Dreams was George's favorite and the gentlest kindest Borzoi that
ever lived. She didn't know how to do a bad thing to any one animal or human. |
The Gorse lines are quite valuable as he had only been used a few times.
Gorse had a terrible accident, shattering his stifle in fifteen places, and
unfortunately infection set in, ultimately causing his death.
He would undoubtedly have been a record breaker if it were not for his
unfortunate accident which stopped his show career. Although Gorse was
taller than he actually looked, at 33 inches, he was well balanced with a
real zest for life. He loved showing and if the crowd cheered him on, he
would chase his tail. His movement was a joy to watch. |

Olias Miesque at Starborough was bred by Mrs Joan Mabey. Lorraine saw
Miesque as a puppy & it was love at first sight. Starborough bred many
beautiful borzoi, all coming down from this line. Miesque was the number one

Starborough Special Edition ~ Grandfather |
 |
 |
|
Most breed specialists thought that Sharmanka, "Fleur", was the best Borzoi
Lorraine ever bred. She still won Challenge Certificates out of the veteran
classes, even winning Best in Show at the prestigious Borzoi Club of Great
Britain Show. |
Starborough Special Edition, "Brek" (pictured at 6 months of age) was
Lorraine's favorite and he liked nothing more than just being with her. He
won frequently, and was the first borzoi to gain his Junior Warrant under
the new English ruling. At just eighteen months, he unbeknown to anyone,
swallowed a small raw potato, which resulted in a major surgery & being on a
drip for nearly a week. No one thought he would live but he did.
Unfortunately Brek did not like leaving home after his ordeal, and was
rarely shown again. |

Ch Starborough Fait Accompli, "Dove" was bred and owned by Lorraine Marchant

Lorraine's words, was the type of borzoi that you breed once in a life time.
Dove produced two beautiful litters bred by Lorraine. Robert and Silvia
Kalinowski adored Dove and wanted to add her pedigree to their lines. Dove
had two lovely litters for the Kalinowski's in Germany. |
