Our first litter born January 26, 1994

Am Can CH Chrysalis Windfall Confetti CD, JC

Confetti was very outgoing & loved to bounce around with the other puppies always wanting to play. The very first time she was shown, in July 1994, at the Kettle Moraine Kennel Club show, supported by Midwest Borzoi Club, she won her puppy class and dad Grozny took BOB. Some of my fondest memories in her show career were winning a large sweepstakes class at The Borzoi Club of Northern California specialty in April 1995, taking BOS in Sweepstakes in June 1995 at the Greater Twin Cities Borzoi Club specialty and placing in a very competitive Bred-By class In Sacramento at the National in 1996. Confetti completed her championship at age 2 1/2 as my first home-bred champion. She also went on to acquire her Canadian championship in one weekend.

CH Chrysalis Casimira FCH, JC - "Cassie"

Cassie's head piece was very typical of Nonsuch, long & elegant. She was the tallest bitch in the litter as well as having greater length which, contributed to her lovely side gait. She excelled on the coursing field acquiring her field championship very quickly. Cassie continued to run through her veteran years & oh how she loved to run! She was also a part of a brace with sister, Chara acquiring muliple Best In Show honors. Cassie is owned by Dawn Tracy & is my second home-bred Champion.

CH Crysalis Windfall Chara JC

Chara was a mirror image of Zoya (Ch Nonsuch Standing Ovation) not only in appearance but, attitude. I always considered Chara pick of this litter. Although she was more reserved than her sisters, she was always up to the task and anything I asked of her in the show ring. Chara took RWB at the Midwest Borzoi Club specialty in 2000 & acquired her championship that year with back to back majors. In 2001 at the Midwest Borzoi Specialty she was presented with an AOM. Chara is my third home-bred Champion.

Thanks to Vicky Bloemer for restoring Chara's picture.

CH Chrysalis Black Diamond

Diamond was the first from our second litter to acquire her Championship. Her beauty & movement are very typical of the Nonsuch/Stillwater lines. She was not shown often but, did well at the regional specialties, supported shows and the National. Included are some of her most memorable wins, RWB, Midwest Borzoi Club supported show August 1999, WB, BOW, and BOS, Borzoi Club of America Supported show that same weekend, Best Senior Bitch, Futurity, Borzoi Club of America National Specialty 2000, and fourth place in a very competitive Bred-By class. After the National in 2000, she was shown the weekend of the Greater Twin Cities Borzoi Club specialty & took WB, BOW and was not shown again until the Midwest Borzoi Club and Borzoi Club of America supported shows in Manitowoc, WI September 2000. Diamond took WB At the Midwest Borzoi Club supported show to complete her Championship and BOB the following day. What a way to finish! She is our fourth home-bred Champion.

CH Chrysalis Black Magic - "Zeke"

Zeke was named by his owners, the Strackbein family. His head piece & coat were very typical if his dad, Ch Nonsuch Grozny. Some of his accomplishments in the show ring include, WD Borzoi Club of America supported entry August 2001 and WD Midwest Borzoi Club specialty, December 2001 to complete his championship, handled by Kristi Arnquist on that day. Zeke is our fifth home-bred champion.

CH Chrysalis Black Onyx - "Nick"

Nick (along with his brother Zeke) lived with the Strackbein family. He was the first of the two boys to take a major but, the last of the three to finish his championship. I concentrated on Diamond & Zeke while he matured. Nick is a joy to live with and his personality is exceptional. Nick enjoys staying home & relaxing with human dad Ike, now retired, while Nancy is working. Several days a week both Ike & Nick are busy watching granddaughter Kylie. To date, Nick is my sixth home-bred champion.
