Nonsuch Nordic Glacier CD, LCM III, TT - "Tasha"

Tasha, born September 19, 1985, was a terrific ambassador to the breed. She had a lovely personality,  was very smart, achieved her CD very quickly and ran like the wind. Jim Wopat & Tanya Weber, from Milwaukee at the time, introduced us to ASFA Lure Coursing.  Tasha became the number one lure coursing borzoi in the country in 1987 and ran for several years later going onto her LCM III. When she was not running she enjoyed just hanging out with Bill and me doing things like visiting the local nursing home facility where my grandmother lived,  quickly befriending many residents there.

CH Nonsuch Tatyana - "Anna"

Anna was a lovely tri-colored bitch. The "T" litter was an outstanding litter for Nonsuch. Anna moved effortlessly acquiring her championship in February 1992. Some memorable wins include WB, BOW at Midwest Borzoi Club supported entry, Lakeshore Kennel Club November 1991, under Austrailian Judge Christine Rafton (brother Ch Nonsuch The Talisman took BOB that same day) and BOS in Veteran Sweepstakes Midwest Borzoi Club specialty in Chicago 1996.

Thanks to Vicky Bloemer for restoring Anna's picture.

CH Nonsuch Standing Ovation - "Zoya"

Zoya, born March 27, 1988, became friends with Anna very quickly as they were only 2 months apart in age. They were not only best buddies at home but, were a dual in brace competition taking 15 Best Braces in Show, including 3 specialty wins. Zoya completed her championship in June 1991 and in her own right was a specialty winning bitch and group placer. Her wins include WB, BOW, Midwest Borzoi Club specialty, Chicago, 1990 (which was one of my most memorable wins showing my first adult borzoi) and BOS, Greater Twin Cities Borzoi Club, 1992.

CH Nonsuch Ceylon of Chrysalis CD, FCH

Ceylon, born October 1, 1989, acquired her championship in September 1994. Ceylon was my first borzoi to achieve a triple title and to this day, is my only borzoi to do so. What stood out most in my mind was her lovely elegant head. Ceylon's headpiece was a mirror image of her specialty winning dam Ch Crescents Nonsuch Chloe.

CH Nonsuch Vedma of Chrysalis JC

Vedma, born May 23, 1990, acquired her championship in January 1993. Along the way, her very special wins include Best In Sweepstakes, Puget Sound Borzoi Club 1991, WB, BOS, Greater Twin Cities Borzoi Club 1993, and WB, BOW that same weekend to complete her championship. As a champion, she took BOS, Midwest Borzoi Club specialty Chicago 1995, BOS, Borzoi Club of California, winter specialty 1996, (handled by friend Toni Paskey) and was an AOM winner at the National specialty in Seattle and Sacremento. She also traveled occasionally with a very special friend Vicky Bloemer. Vicky handled Vedma to multi-group placements and one of the most exciting wins in her entire show career was an Award of Merit at Westminster in 1996. I thank Vicky for taking her to New York. It is a win I will always cherish.

Vedma is the dam to my first litter born January, 1994. She produced 3 champions

Am Can CH Nonsuch Grozny

Grozny was born August 17, 1991. His headpiece was very much like his father Ch Crescents Gonzo and grandfather Ch Crescents Arctic Glacier. Grozny's show career began very nicely winning the 12-18 class at the winter Greater Twin Cities Borzoi Club specialty in 1993. That same year at the National specialty in Seattle, Grozny took Best Senior Dog in Futurity and also won the American bred-class. Some of his memorable wins include RWD to his brother Ch Nonsuch Gigelo, Midwest Borzoi Club specialty, Detroit 1994, and WD at the Lake Minnetonka Kennel Club show following the Greater Twin Cities Borzoi Club specialty, June 1994. He completed his championship in June of 1994 taking BOB from the open dog class. The highlight of his show career was winning BOB at the Midwest Borzoi Club specialty in Chicago, December 1997, at age 6 and taking an AOM at the Midwest Borzoi Club specialty in Chicago, December 2001 at age 10. I am proud of Grozny's accomplishments both in the show ring & as a stud dog. He sired 3 champions in each of our two litters.

(Ch Nonsuch Prince Charming X Ch Starborough Tansy JC)

CH Cordova Mishkova Firedance - "Phoenix"

Phoenix was born on November 10, 1997. His mother was the very lovely Ch Starborough Tansy. His very handsome father, Ch Nonsuch Prince Charming had a very successful show career and sired many champions. Phoenix's accomplishments include RWD, Old Dominion Kennel Club April 1999, supported by Potomac Valley Borzoi Club, RWD supported by Midwest Borzoi Club August 1999 and WD a year later at the very same show supported by Midwest Borzoi Club to complete his championship. His copper like color is stunning and his personality is second to none.
